I shed tears on the eve of this launch

The personal is professional and the professional is person is my motto. And so it’s with this in mind that I share the following…

Sitting at my dinner table last night putting the finishing touches on the talk I’m giving in New York (www.rocktheworldnyc.com) I was filled with complete and utter happiness. In fact, it filled me so to the brim of my being that my eyes began to well…then, just like that, with my son playing to the left of me and my husband cooking behind me, I started to sob.

Quietly at first.

Then, louder and louder, until my little one heard me, came over and hugged me around my waist. He said nothing. I kept crying but immediately told him that I was not sad and that in fact I was crazy in love and in joy with my life, which included him playing and his Papa cooking. I told him that it also had to do with being able to express myself and creating what I wanted to in this life, not waiting for anyone to tell me if I could (or couldn’t). That this is what I wanted for him and for everyone.

My husband walked over and as they both held me, one around my middle and one around my shoulders stroking my head, I kept crying. Yet the real or full truth was yet to emerge. I then started to say “I’m just so grateful…so, so grateful, to Gigi and Oma…so grateful, so grateful, so grateful.” I was a broken record of bliss and of the most intense gratitude I have ever felt in all of my life.

Now, this re-brand that you see here…I love it and it expresses who I am and what I facilitate for women…yes, but it so much more than that. This launch of my new brand is a of sorts to the women, two in particular, who did, conquered, grew, pained, laughed and loved me without limits so that I might realize what it is that I *really* wanted from this life.

Seeing this re-brand and celebrating my 12th year in business

Our emotions, successes, mis-steps, thank you’s, I’m sorry’s make up our brand. Grit, glory and all as I said in my About page of the new site

Follow the gut not the “but”…

Business yoga has worked wonders in my life. Professionally I think there’s no other way but the yogic business way…

Following our gut is where it’s at (it’s extremely overlooked in traditional society and very underrated).

We’re taught in school and even in our corporate careers that following our gut is not going to get you anywhere “good” or smart and that it won’t make you money.

However, if you’re clearly tied to a purpose and you’re clear on what your genius zone is and then I think following the gut is exactly where you should be. It’s the only logical next step after you’re clear on that brilliance…on your uniqueness.

And guess what happens when you’re working in your brilliance consistently? You make money gracefully and giddily. You’re more content, day after day (not because of the consistent income you can bring it but for all of it…for that AND for being able to work and live more authentically).

Next time you have that lovin’ feeling…that gut feeling, go with it. Don’t go with the “but” that wants to steer you away from your truth to terror. Enjoy your gut zone and be in the flow.
