Why I dance…
Why am I dancing so much these days? I’m in alignment. I know my purpose and am driven by it for all I do…
To get clear on your purpose (or your “truth”):
• Listen very carefully to what you get most heated about. What drives you to WANT to see change in the world? What could you easily spend two hours talking about non-stop?
• See where the through line between your passions, strengths and vision overlap. Jot each down (say 2-3 of your top) and note any common themes there. This give us great insight into what our mission/purpose is.
To dance more:
• Create a new playlist for yourself every month (I’m launching my new website late February and each season there will be a new playlist for all your beautiful ladies to download for fun. Stay tuned. And where could you infuse some new music energy into your life?)
• Dance on your hike and/or sing as you run and listen to your mojo-filled music. Double the calorie burn?
• Create time for a dance party at home at least once a week (ask people to join you or, heck, just go at it alone…great thing about dancing is that you don’t really need anyone else)
• Check out a dance class at a legit dance studio. I had never tried one until early last year and it was such a blast. I highly recommend it. Step outside the norm and make yourself authentically happy. Your clients and your bod will thank you!
In short, whether you’re a music girl, love to dance or not, enjoying your business and life in your own, unique way WILL make you feel in alignment. Things will hum (you may too) and happiness will stick around much more consistently.
Much love!
Your Unknown in Entrepreneurship (and a little something-something about Shuttle Endeavour)
Watching as Shuttle Endeavour is driven to rest at the CA Science Center
Seeing the space shuttle a week ago, up close and personal, was a unique experience.
I was struck by one major thing as I walked the exhibit ~ SO many of us come together in total awe to take in the unknown of others (of that which is outside of us) yet we seem to have such a tough time feeling that kind of excitement with our unknown.
Entrepreneurship, even if you’re tied to a clear vision, purpose and brand is an unknown…it’s the way it is. And to that I say ‘thank goodness, it’s most exciting that way.’
We can have a plan (it IS good to have one) yet the truth is that 9 out of 10x we’re surprised with the exact events, people and circumstances that come into our lives to make it all a reality. (btw, Your awesome surprises await). The quicker we accept that we don’t know “how” (and that we don’t have control over every single thing) the more we’ll be able to accept what’s coming that falls outside our limited thinking, perhaps, and the more we will be able to enjoy each day towards claiming the ultimate vision.
The next time you’re in awe of someone that has done something unique, “big” or out of this world just remember that others are waiting to feel that way about you.
You’re a teacher.
The more you drop the fear and move into what at least seems to be the right direction, the closer you’ll get to what you’re meant to be doing (in the way you’re meant to be doing it) and the more people you can affect with your bravery.
[Brand] personality…you got this.

How do you know if you’re building a business (a brand) with personality? (I can’t share this enough and with all the new ladies we’ve had join the international community lately I felt it timely to mention again…)
Ask yourself if you are doing these things each time you are creating/communicating:
Is what I’m creating/doing right now UNIQUE?
Is it AUTHENTIC?
Is it relevant/talkeable/shareable?
(all three must be in working order with everything you create)
Also, make sure to check in with your top two to three (max) values; what are they?
Remember that as the founder of your business you make up the brand. Getting clear around your values and injecting them into everything you do in the business is trés important. This will be how your clients and potential clients experience you…through your top 2-3 values. Business through values. Isn’t that nice? It’s my love.
I call it branding but you can call it the work around creating a connected business. We all have it in us.
Enjoy injecting more and more personality (and depth!) into your brand.
