When we hear the truth, it compels us to almost immediately retell what we heard, write it down or, as in this instance, turn on the camera and ask him to say it aaagain (when he’s not done chewing just yet).
To all men and women involved romantically or wanting to be involved romantically, this is for you. It’s for all of us and I think it especially important hearing it from a man.
I’ll add. Ladies, think of yourselves longer and deeper than the excuse you make for why he is the way he is, add yourself and your wants, ideas and opinions into the conversation from the get-go (as my mother-in-law told me the day before her son and I got married, “be weary of what you start today, because you will continue to do it for the rest of your relationship”), don’t accept any threat to your self-worth (or freedom), nor a melancholy mismatch to your evolution or life vision.
Stop trying to fit a round peg into a square hole. There *are* men who will value you deeply, but you won’t meet them staying with the ones who don’t.
