MOM, what you’re *really* doing as an entrepreneur!

Though motherhood and entrepreneurship can include not-so pleasant moments and steep learning curves (birthing is never easy) they are the two areas in our lives that gift us the biggest emotional and spiritual growth.

You could say we are mom to the second power.

The very growth, consciousness and awareness we meet in our businesses, we can use to be better mothers ~ teachers ~ to our children. Similarly, the growth, consciousness and awareness we experience throughout our motherhood, we can pull from to be even more on purpose and resilient as entrepreneurs.

We are smack dab in the middle of living a double gift.

Business Yoga, WATCH my TV clip. Stretch your happiness?

The world, the universe and your loved ones want you to get out there and fulfill your greatest dreams…you know that, right?

They want you to do what oozes so naturally from you; what helps you feel most alive.

When you feel like you're contributing to the world in your most authentic way, others (your VIPs) feel most connected to you. You're radiating, fun and attractive and life is just sweeter.

When you are feeling in your flow, feeling G-O-O-D, you also have much more to give…

All that said, you DO have support, you do. Resist the urge to get into drama that you don't. But be sure to consistently *use* that support to inspire you forward. And if that support is all YOU then wonderful. Sometimes it's all you need.

Self support is called permission.

The missing link may just be giving yourself the permission to really get after the passion and pure genius you have moving through you, even when it's scary…in fact, especially when it's scary.

Monday morning I smiled as I walked into Channel 2 in Portland, passing cameras, bright lights and living room sets. I majored in Broadcast Journalism and have always loved public speaking and the practice it's afforded me to feel a joyful comfort in my own skin. I smiled because I felt at home. The thought went something like "I love that I'm back in a place, where I always knew I'd spend more time…"

In school, I loved writing my news stories and delivering them. I'll never forget what my director in college told me, "Michelle, never be nervous about presenting your story. You know it better than anyone." That "little" piece of advice has helped me in a big way in life and business.

So, hey you, don't be nervous about sharing *yours*. You know it better than anyone and it's the story that has brought you here right now so do her a favor and honor her, all parts.

To continue, the truth is I also love sharing what I know and love with larger audiences. I love the challenge it presents (I've always been the girl who, knees knocking, wants to do the very thing she's afraid of). Most importantly, however, it's what I feel I'm here to do in this life and in this world: help as many women and moms to, sans apology, create lives based around what makes them authentically do a little ditty (so their families, communities and their world can do a little ditty too).

When mama is happy, everyone is happy…

Though I've done a couple other TV appearances, this was one of the most fun because it creatively brought my work with women entrepreneurs together with my love of yoga. A few years ago I fused the two worlds together and you could say I've been practicing yoga of the mind (up-dogging) every since…

A few years back I came up with the term Business Yoga and did a free mp3 download on it. I had an up-and-coming LA comedian interview me on the "Secrets of Business Yoga" and together we delivered a light-hearted piece around bringing the positive principles of yoga into our practice of business. All for the purpose of stretching our happiness and, as I state in the clip below, to go from stress mode to solution mode.

business yoga screenshot
Our bodies, bank accounts, dreams and internal (and daily) peace thermometer all want and crave the feelings that come when we are in solution mode. We could even say our goal every day is to do that very thing: to decrease the drama and way increase the inspiration, love and connection.

Yogi hop to it.

Where can you make it your daily goal to decrease or steer clear of drama? Within your mind? Family? With business partner(s)? With your assistant or even on social media?

I hope you enjoy the other questions I recommend in the clip.

And I hope in hearing what I share that you enjoy challenging yourself to own even more of each situation that comes to or "at" you. In my opinion, when we take responsibility for our lives (*everything* that happens in them) we are most powerful, successful, sexy and loving.

And, what is *your* flow or vision for your passion-turned-professional life?

Is it exactly what you're doing today? Congrats, if it is.

Or, do want to move into speaking and writing more of the time, like I've made room for in my day-to-day business'ing? What is it for you? In other words, are you ready to move into the next evolution of *your* visibility?

If your next evolution is, in fact, something quite different than what you're currently doing, let's take a quick look now at how you can speak to that greater vision more every day and tweak your weekly calendar to:

• Include more time researching what it will take.

• Make more time to reach out to that perfect contact (or five) who might be able to lend their expertise or do an intro for you.

• (Just like yoga) practice, practice, practice what it is that you need to be even more visible (visibility is key to success).

Once you get clear on your vision, couture creation, own it, feel it and see it every day. Regardless if you think it's just one tiny step, your strategic and creatively-inspired forward movement gets you that one step closer than you were last week. And that's what it takes.

No need to be in drama over it and *judge* it. Instead, simply jump at the chance to say yes to yourself and keep moving forward because you may just be one or three steps away from "it".

In other words, step into it now and let the other 13 (way) less important things that have been hanging on your to-do list GO.

As I saw on a graphic recently, 'letting go IS the hardest asana', it's true. But letting go is the only way to hold *onto* the vision we have for our lives and the greatness we know we are capable of (greatness = affecting and bettering more of the world with our unique talents and genius).

Making room in our lives, in our relationships and in our calendars for what we really want is what getting rid of the drama and being in solution mode is really all about.

What do you ooze? What are you genius at? It's beautiful, really. We each have our special something to shine back out into the world. So…take the time. Take time to find what that something is OR just get *back* into the flow of doing it.

Start today.

What are you letting go of today so you can be even more visible and live your vision?

Is it a person? A task? A frame of mind? A thought that is on loop?

And, as importantly, how much more can you allow the love and support others have for you to propel you into even more of your what you are meant to do?

That there is one sweet morsel I didn't get to share on the segment that I so wish I had the time to…

You don't have to go it alone (please don't go it alone). He/she/they want so badly to be there for you…open up, let the love in so you can shine it right back out.

As always, sending you my love…

Enjoy your business, enjoy your life!

Life is good,

How would you revise YOUR Facebook post?? (Personal and business growth tip)

A few days  ago, I posted this on facebook:

-3

Are you in a similar season?

I think of my client Jackie B. whose tagline is a combination of the words coming up in this next sentence: I’m stepping into the new and next…

Is this you? Or is your version maybe “I’m SO looking forward to the new and next”?

If you feel either inside of you then maybe just maybe you’ll find a sister in this sharing.

Let me tell you a bit more around my experience to make this sharing even more relevant.

I’m a driven and dedicated to the task/dream/purpose-oriented person, always have been. And ideas are always flowing. I am motivated to create anew (to create what I want to be a part of). In fact, this would even get me into trouble when I was younger. My parents wanted me to do more sitting/being yet I always wanted to create, write, read and plot, ALL the time. In essence, I found my joy in seeing what I could create the opportunity for…I found excitement in my passions an in what was next, in what I could create or think up!

After the loss of my brother in May of 2013, I hit a creation wall (in a past sharing, I shared with you, my MGI community that my 22-year-old brother, Dino, passed away in a car accident two days after college graduation. You were so supportive – thank you so much, again).

It was devastating for the soul, the seat of our creativity and creation.

I also hit an even larger wall in knowing what was next.

And, in addition to the obvious grief, I had also hit upon the startling reality that I had put my love of writing, a creative lifeline for me, on hold.

How do you put love on hold?

You don’t really.

You can try but it’s unnatural.

Why?

Well, you’re meant to do what you love. It is meant to find you and stay with you…

Here’s the thing: I hadn’t even noticed I had put my passion or love of writing (aka: finishing my book proposal) on the back burner because I had been moving on so many other things. You may be there too…churning out great work in the world and not able (willing?) to stop long enough to reflect on if it’s the genius work you’re meant to be doing or the work that will make the biggest impact on the lives of those who need you.

So maybe my parents were right. Action is great and stopping long enough to ask and then wait to hear the wise answer is greater. Of course, the yogi in me has known this now for over nine years and I do stop, often, however, at times, we still need the reminder.

Say hello to your YIN and YANG.

Action is necessary and so is making/having the time to hear what it is that you’re actually meant to authentically be doing in that very next action.

I’m happy to report that I’ve consistently made more room for my writing. Its healing power and love have flowed, as our deepest passions do, to all the right places.

Delish.

So, all this said, I realized, of course, that I forgot to include a very important part in my sharing on Facebook the other day. Here's how I might revise it:

10711711_10152262702830806_948595765_nNow, let's review…let's take a moment…

Is it time for you, too, to honor where you’ve most recently been (give yourself more of what you need) so that stepping into the new and next is that much more empowered, fruitful and enjoyable?

What is your love, your passion? And how can you include more of it during the week?

Because we can continue to move and create, that’s our nature as women who love to birth anew, however, honoring the now and what we need in order to fill back up so we can give from that overflow is the key to opening the door on true business and personal growth…

To step into our new and next we must be focused in what ways this “new and next” includes that which is a lifeline for us.

What makes it all flow for you with more grace?

What is healing to you?

Is your love and lifeline writing as it is with me?
More fun dates with your children?
Evenings completely free to listen to music and read?
6am meditation?
6am yoga?
Singing?
Dancing?

Live your yoga.

Incorporate more of what naturally wants to ooze and flow from you.

It’s that passion that will power all parts of your and your support of others forward!

Ah, breathe it in: your passion-filled life that fills, fuels and feeds you so you can be a larger part of filling, fueling and feeding others. 😉

On this gorgeous Friday, here’s to honoring your now AND stepping into your new and next.

Sending you all my love…

Life is good,

michelle-black-sig-md-light

ATTRACT: Be You But More Like Beyoncé

Tuesday September 2, 2014

11:30am Los Angeles/2:30pm New York/7:30pm London/8:30pm Paris

Register for the free training here: https://michelleghilotti.com/ptssignupcall.html

This is also preview call for Photography to Success, an MGI-original program for kick-booty women entrepreneurs wanting to tell their story in a compelling way via their photographs.

WHAT TO EXPECT
I will be covering the following topics during our hour together…

• What authentic branding is and why the six and seven-figure entrepreneurs you look up to (and Beyoncé, Oprah, Ellen, Bethenny and Lady Gaga!) have been so successful doing it.

• How not to just share but STRUT your stuff on the catwalk of business communication when it comes to social media, blogging and company newsletters.

10599170_10152180061935806_770011394206089503_n

• The #1 creative strategy for your brand and marketing communication (it's not what you think. This will answer so many of the questions I get around how visible you have to be and HOW to put it all together).

• What GREAT and powerful branding is all about. It's an F word :-}

• The four elements you need to focus on in your brand communication (stop doing 12 things and just do these to expand your reach and your impact!)

• What you need to whip-up a brand story.

• What polarization has to do with growing your business to new heights.

EXTRA CREDIT ~ because we all deserve even more…
As "extra credit" at the end of the training, I'll be gifting one seat to Photography to Success, MGI's newest kick-booty program! As a preview call, I will also be telling you more about the program and how you too can create press-stopping, head-turning images, even if your photographer is not a "story-telling" brand photographer (nine out of 10 photographers are not brand experts so you MUST (must!) set them up with your brand essence, brand personality & shot lists).

We will be doing all of this in PtS and more.

I can't wait to share this LIVE training with you and help you tell your genius and unique story through your brand photography.

It's time to attract your ideal everything…

Be you but more like Beyoncé. 😉
