Creative Power and Accomplishment
Los Angeles, CA: Michelle Ghilotti Intl has devoted over 16 years to helping female creatives and entrepreneurs create the businesses, brands, and worlds they want to be a part of. Create what you want to be a part of is one of her favorite sayings. To celebrate the rise of the feminine voice, Michelle has created a one-day event to serve the spirited creative community in Los Angeles and beyond. The Creative Heroine Experience is a not-for-profit event to be held on March 3, 2018, from 9:30am-5:30pm in Los Angeles.
The Creative Heroine Experience, honoring the woman inside all of us who moves from problem to solution in order to express to the world who she really is, will feature award-winning female speakers, leaders and performers from the worlds of art, photography, acting, social entrepreneurship, business and more as a celebration of women who have unapologetically pursued meaning and purpose via their passions. Ultimately, it’s an entertainment and inspiration-filled day designed to move attendees through story, poetry, music, and art ~ to make 2018 the year of an immersive journey to their next big idea through the full integration of their passions, creativity, and spirituality.
“As a creative with an advertising agency background, a writer at heart and running a branding, coaching and empowerment practice, I designed this day-long experience as a thank you to the female creative community,” said Ms. Ghilotti, “I want to give back to the women who keep us thinking, innovating, pushing for what’s next and, ultimately, healing what has hurt, this year and beyond. It’s a thank you to every woman who continues to use her creative voice for the greater good. The day is also meant to enliven women to continue to follow their wild and crazy ideas, as it’s through those ideas that we improve and evolve industries, ourselves, society and, ultimately, the world. This event and all women connected to it support the reinvention, rise, and comeback of every female creative voice to create today what they most want to be a part of, without waiting for someone to tell them it can be done. My intention is for women to leave knowing that the strength that comes with believing and nurturing their ideas and, beyond that, having the courage to follow them all the way through is the life force and peace they’ve been looking for. In short, the mission is to support driven, spirited and creative women to authentically and unapologetically continue to express who they truly are and what they believe.”
This free community event includes but is not limited to the following presenters:
- Paige Bradley: As one of the leading figurative sculptors of our generation, Paige explores the human body as the vehicle to communicate today’s struggles, isolations, limitations, and brokenness. Her work captures the light of the spirit and the power of the body while capturing a beautiful mortality that is both fragile and fierce. Listed several times as having created the world’s most intriguing and creative works of art, people are profoundly connected to the imagery of Paige’s sculptures.
- Arlan Hamilton: Inc. Magazine says it perfectly…”Arlan Hamilton was bouncing from couch to couch chasing a dream. Now, she’s leading a $5 million venture fund focused on finding the most promising female, minority, and LGBT entrepreneurs.” Going from being homeless to hearing the words “I’m in” from her first backer, a tech veteran who had made a name for herself at Salesforce and PayPal, Arlan, left a career in music production to pursue her dream of raising the 2.7% percent of venture-funded companies that are led by women to more (a lot more). Arlan’s soft-spoken ways, balanced only by her tenacity will “unlock access to valuable talent and huge markets that haven’t been on the radar of traditional investors,” said Shark Tank investor, Chris Sacca, now an investor in her company.
- Elisha Greenwell: Elisha is an activist and creative leader. Throughout her creative leadership career, Elisha has developed an award-winning brand strategy for companies such as Intel, Nike, Target, Starbucks, and PlayStation. In early 2017, Elisha returned to the Bay Area to lead brand reputation strategy for Facebook’s Consumer marketing team. She is the founder of Black Joy Parade, “a celebration of the Black experience and our influence on cultures past, present and future.” The inaugural event will take place on February 25, 2018, in Oakland, Ca.
- Jenn Page: Jenn has directed and produced multiple feature films, branded series, music videos, live stage shows, and a TV talk show. She is a member of the professional group “Alliance of Women Directors,” where she is the chair of the in-house shadowing committee. She was recently selected as one of the women in Hollywood for the “50 Women Can Change The World in Media Entertainment” program. She has co-founded women and filmmaker organizations like “Filmmaker Mastermind” and “Female Empowerment in Media” that are geared toward helping up-and-coming filmmakers connect with peers and mentors. She is also the owner and founder of “Heart on Fire Productions, Inc.” a full-service production company.
- Christina Dunbar (and her husband Chaim Dunbar): Christina is an actress, poet, mentor to creative women and advocates for the fierce female voice to be heard through film, media, and art. Christina is the writer, producer, and star of “Dirty Me Divine”, a one-woman show about sexuality and soul, directed by her husband Chaim Dunbar. She will present, for the first time, a piece created especially for The Creative Heroine Experience called “Where Are The Women?” alongside her husband doing his powerful and popular rendition of “Where Are The Men?” Christina is also the creator of She Takes the Stage, a program that takes a select group of women through the journey of writing their personal story and performing it for a LIVE audience.
- Helen Vonderheide: Helen is an Akashic Records Practitioner who took the falling apart of her work life in TV and Film as a producer to mean that she needed to take the path less traveled (the path really less traveled). In that time, she found herself shifting her professional and purpose path and started reading the Akashic Records supporting people to heal, to get clear about their own life path and, ultimately, to witness themselves and what they were capable of in a new way. “When I discovered the Records it was as if a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I was able to recognize that producing TV and Film was my passion, but that my project falling apart had a force much bigger than me behind it. Through the insight of the Records, I revealed more wisdom into what makes me tick, how to find true peace and happiness in the journey, and above all else, trust myself more.”
