Photos, Greater Good Party in NY!

Last Saturday was another night on this journey that humbled me.

I stood or sat in the back watching the magic of the Greater Good Party go down in New York, the first one of many we are planning in the U.S. and abroad, and all I could think/say quietly under my breath was thank you…thank you to all the forces that planted this seed of an idea in my heart and to all the forces that keep it going/growing…

Thank you, Thea Powerhouse Vaughan for the creative collaboration and rekindled friendship. The first Greater Good Party outside Los Angeles couldn’t have been sweeter or more memorable. Thank you for your trust, exuberance and genius.

Thank you to all those who attended and to the speakers, who not only wow’d the room with their brilliance in their zone of clear passion and expertise, but with the way they showed up prioritizing connection and what it means to create, grow and, generally, BE about community and a generosity of spirit.

What is the Greater Good Party?

The Greater Good Party IS a party, one for the socially, sensory and/or spiritually curious (we have art, song, poetry, spoken word and the like as well as presenters on a variety of subjects all working towards the aim of assisting you to use your creativity for great good and *make* great good on the creations, projects or expressions (written, spoken, visual or beyond) that will contribute most to purpose ~> yours).

It’s for those with a special kind of wanderlust; for people who, after the events of the last year plus want to go (expand) as far inside their minds and hearts as they do traveling in their bodies…

We started the GGP in our living room turned loving room in response to a clear need that arose (for us and those we love) after the election for a community/communities driven by optimistic spirit.

We’re excited to have hosted our first Greater Good Party in New York and we head to the Bay Area to do the same on 5/19: to bring more optimistic people together.

We like to call the GGP a salon-like experience (a la the 19th century version) where a diverse group of people come together and keep coming together, over and over again, to learn from engaging experts across industries to share on important subjects like emotional intelligence, creating community, connection, activism, and more, while also supporting up-and-coming artists & having good, old-fashioned fun with cool people outside our computers, text messaging, or social media.

It IS a party, after all, a new-school, old-fashioned house party (it isn’t a ticketed event, a business thing nor is it created for anyone cause).

We do it as our way to give back and as we travel around the country, our co-hosts in each new city, do it for similar, if not, the same reasons.

Our vision is to inspire more couples and communities to start their own version of a Greater Good Party (or similar — optimist(ic), salon-like party that expands minds and the opportunity for more great good) by helping as many people as we can to start…and continue..,

We’re excited to continue to make the GGP a plug-and-play type thing for those who want to start something uplifting and supportive in their community but don’t know how or where to start.

This means we help someone in whatever state, city or country create one (we plan it with you, collaborating on what the greater good looks and feels like to you, we help curate the talent (artists, singers, poets, storytellers, and speakers), then fly in to help you present it on the day…

You then keep the generosity, optimism, good vibes, spirited, top-notch sharing, and creativity going.

The greater good…

It’s going…♥️
