About My Marriage (What It’s Being Used For)

I don’t just enjoy creating with him, I revel in using the love and respect felt for one another for a greater or expanded good ~ a purpose beyond us, beyond Nolan and beyond our family.

I got turned onto this feeling-turned idea-turned passion-turned purpose, not solely by way or inspiration from this love (though I’d love to say that), but through the curiosity one experiences when cracked open through what feels like the loss OF it/the loss of love or loved ones…

We’re getting ready for our May weekends in New York (5th) and the Bay Area (19th) for Greater Good Party evenings (and one in LA in April) and feeling this:

Love, romance and the safety (net) felt when inside it: what if it’s not solely for us — for you and the one you love to enjoy — but for others to be filled by, too…what might we each do with it then?

Enjoy your business, enjoy your life!

p.s. if you live in the Bay Area or New York — we are coming for you! We will be bringing the Greater Good Party to New York on May 5th and to the Bay on May 19th. Both Saturdays. If you’d like to be invited or learn more, email me back and we will send you what you’ll need to join us. They are both not-to-miss events (these events are not ticketed events nor are they fundraising events…each party (vino included) is simply our way of giving back). Join us!

What I Stopped Doing that Made Me More Creative

Part of being “creative” or able to create solution/soul-ution (not just someone who has ideas but is known *for* them) or, in other words, innovating and leading in an industry comes down to what and whom you’re giving your energy to.

If you want to create anew and reinvent yourself or breathe new valuable life into an industry or part of society, you can not be a giver to the wrong people in your daily life.

Don’t confuse nice with true giving. Being nice is opening the door for someone when they’re walking out of the same building, true giving requires thought and energy from physical, emotional and spiritual bodies (not everyone will be able to receive from you — be selective so you have the bandwidth to more gracefully select and stick with the creative challenges or projects you’ll work on to better the world around you).

Most everyone deserves nice. Everyone isn’t whom you truly and fully give to.

As a creator and a natural giver, surround yourself with others who are givers (who lift mood, energy and lift YOU up) and where there’s an energy exchange that allows you both to do what you do best and let go of the rest.

Be forgiving to the people and projects who are aligned with your values, beliefs and passions — and — be forgiving of yourself for the countless times you put others first who kept showing you that your creative energy was meant to go elsewhere.

Do what grows your natural exuberance and conserve the energy that comes from it. You’ll need lots of it where you’re going.

p.s. I’m taking on three new private clients to move from having the idea to birthing the idea. As I said above, move from having ideas to being known for them. If you’d like to hear more about the work we could do together, simply email us back and Susan will send you the daring details. xo

Can I Get Your Advice?

I’d love to ask you for your advice!

After the success of the Creative Heroine Experience, I’m re-committing, once again, to assisting you as much as I can via this space, to not simply be or become consumers of content, but action takers. That was a big part of CHE (it’s the only thing that’s worked for me to create the impact, revenue and the brand I currently have…taking a risk and always taking action on my biggest, “craziest” ideas).

Even if you’re not a client, through the weekly shares, I want to contribute meaningfully to your life and one way to do that is to support you to become a doer, too. Think about and strategize, yes, but not too long. 🙂

Making fast and aligned decisions is a trait that as self-employed women we need to nurture every day.

Movement Mantra: I am a dedicated, daring and delighted doer.

Here are my questions to you:

1. Would you like to receive the weekly MGI content via written form, video or audio (what’s easiest and most enjoyable for you?). For some, one is more actionable or spark-producing than the other(s).

2. What specific topic around business, brand/expression or life is most valuable and supportive to you right now as far as designing your life of happiness and prosperity? I’d love to know, both for the weekly shares as well as for the complimentary trainings we will continue to create for you and the community.

Tell me! I want you to receive what you need. Simply reply back and I’ll respond. 🙂

Thank you so much. I so appreciate your thoughts.

Until next time, enjoy your business, enjoy your life!

How To Move Fwd On Your Ideas (come out, come out wherever you are!)

That thing you keep thinking about or planning for is not going to happen until you let go of feeling like it has to be perfect.

Things become elegant, polished and/or masterful (not to be confused with perfect) after and not before, you get them out there.

Think of your job as the aerator of your ideas. They only become the best idea, the most impactful and most profitable thing — the fine wine of your long list of ideas — if they’re in touch with the elements.

This means they need to come into contact with people, with feedback from the creative process, in contact with the way you feel and with the magic that comes to meet an idea only after having started down the committed path…

Commitment turns an idea into full-fledged creativity.

Commit to your life and to a most pure, honest and inevitable success, not just by having an idea (that’s easy), but by following it
through (that’s you).
Enjoy your business, enjoy your life!
